New Podcast Episode: Sonic Landscapes Built from Graphic Scores

Happy New Year, musical adventurers.

With 2020 foresight, we present a new episode of the Right Brain Music Podcast. Here, you’ll meet Steve Scribner, a Seattle-area composer who uses unique graphic scores to engage musicians in creating otherworldly sonic landscapes. He calls his scores "sound scrolls." We hear excerpts of his compositions , somewhere in the overlap of avant-garde, new classical and free jazz. The music is featured on Scribner's newlly released album on Right Brain Records.

Here’s a link to the podcast episode. You can also subscribe through your fav podcast app.

Find his ambitious new album here. We’re especially excited about this release because it’s like nothing else we’ve heard - and that’s our mission.

We have a bunch of exciting new releases and podcast episodes planned throughout the winter and spring. This year’s theme is out with the bad, in with the good. Read the news for the former, and these pages for the latter…
