The Wayne Horvitz Perpetual Music Machine
Waybe Horvitz is many things—pianist, composer, producer, partner, professor and promoter of creative music. Another p-word sums up his career: prolific. A veteran of the ‘80s-’90s New York downtown music scene, he has worked with John Zorn, Bill Frisell, Carla Bley, Fred Frith and the Kronos String Quartet, among many others. Wayne’s compositions span vast territory and cross lines between jazz, classical, experimental and American roots music. And his body of work continues to grow.
Update: Wayne has released two albums of original material on Right Brain Records: In Absentia (2023), and 11 Improvisations… (2024). Hear both and learn more here.
