Coulter-Dutz

Ron Coulter and Brad Dutz are two the most creative and accomplished percussionists in North America today. Both are dynamic composers and performers, with vast recording credits to their names. They met decades ago in an educational program run by Coulter in Illinois. Dutz and Coulter have now come together to produce two albums together. The first, released in 2023, is called Doppelb​ä​ngers. The second is 2024’s Juxtapositions.

This album’s unique tracks are freely improvised and recorded live as a duo, drawn from a two-day session in Brad's studio and barn in Kelso, Washington. Doppelbängers and Juxtapositions reveals the diversity of the musicians' scope and the power of spontaneous collaboration. These far-reaching soundscapes will move, surprise and delight you.
